We’ve Installed a New High-Speed Inkjet Printer
1st Aug 2019
Arcane are committed to continuous improvement and investment to ensure we offer our customers the best possible service. As part of that investment we recently upgraded our Domino inkjet to a sophisticated Amica Morpho 216UV. This new addition allows us to make the most of discounts and improved tracking and delivery data available through the Royal Mail’s Mailmark barcode technology.
The flexibility offered by the Amica system allows us a much wider scope in terms of graphics and typefaces. It makes easy work of – OCR, images, logos, texts, serial numbers, dates, time, true type and open type fonts,1D barcodes: EAN 13, EAN 8, Code 39, Code 128, Codabar 2 Widths, GS1 DataBar (RSS-14), Interleaved 2 of 5, UPC-A, and USPS PostNet and 2D Barcodes: PDF417, QR-Code, and Data Matrix
The mono system is ideally suited to envelopes, postcards and one piece mailers where it can print addresses, postal marks, straps lines and images in a single pass. Our Amica is set up with UV ink which can print on just about any surface and we don’t need to allow extra drying time due to the built in curing process.
At 600 dpi and with a 3 level variable drop size, image quality is better than you might expect for graphics as well as text. The print width of 216mm allows a pretty decent area for including larger images too. All this combined with a 50m per minute speed makes this one of our most popular machines to date.
